Our Story

Built by someone who ran the route.

Shelah started from a real problem. As Head Purchasing Manager and Assistant GM at a Brooklyn grocery store handling $7–8M in annual volume, I watched our delivery operation run on a combination of radio calls, a whiteboard, and drivers texting their ETAs.

We had 7 drivers. We had frozen orders, cold orders, and dry orders all going to the same neighborhoods. We had school dismissal times that would double our delivery times if we dispatched at the wrong moment. And we were paying $665/month for a tracking tool that just showed dots on a map.

What we actually needed was a system that understood the logistics of grocery delivery — thermal class sequencing, neighborhood clustering, dwell-time monitoring, surge windows — and could translate that understanding into a dispatch decision in under 3 seconds.

That's what Shelah is. It's not a generic delivery platform re-skinned for groceries. It's a dispatch layer built from the ground up for the specific, messy, time-pressure reality of same-day grocery delivery in Brooklyn.

We're starting with one store. We're building for ten.
